My paternal Grandfather, Khader Shoman emigrated from Beit Hanina in the early 1930's(?) to San Pedro Sula Honduras. From there he came to Belize and married my grandmother, Emilia Menenses de Shoman and had three children, Yasin ( my dad), Assad and Mirna. My father has visited Beit Hanina, but I have not yet had the opportunity.

Salam Lisa,
I am fascinated that we have several relatives in Latin America from my family as well. I am grateful you have found out about some of your ancestry. Was wondering, how is life in Belize and do you follow the islamic tradition.
