mohammad najjar

Are we living in the end of times because so much evidence points to this

With everything that is happening from the creation of israel, the gathering of the jewish people in one land, the kuffar treating the muslims as "strangers", the war against Islam and its believers, the natural disasters that warns us repeatedly, what are we waiting for the actual Last judgement day. By that time I believe it will be too late. Do anyone of you have any strong evidence concerning Imam Mahdi and the Dajjal. I have searched many times and believe that the Dajjal is around the corner since all the evidence points to this. Do you feel the same way or differ in this opinion.

Brother Mohammad, I have been a member of this site for a while and did not used to participate a lot due to the lack of time. But the subjects you and the brothers keep writing are excellent and very hard to resist. They make me think and learn which expands my knowledge in Islam. So I ask Allah (SWT) give you brothers the reward for these important comments.

As you know there are many Hadeeths were narreted by different Sahhabah. Some of then are authentic and some are not.
In order for us to know which hadeeth to take. We have to know which one is authentic and then we have to believe in the hadeeth. Then We have to look at different Hadeeths and see if there is actually a different Hadith that will elaborate more and explains more.
As you know the Hadeeth of the Mahdi is authentic and we have to believe in it. But there are also a good number of other Ahadeeth that talks about what would happen before the day of judgment and before the return of Mahdi. Here are some of these Ahadeeth and some explanation to what they mean
I am translating these Ahadeeth from Arabic to English as I only know them in Arabic. So please feel free to correct any translation mistakes. I will write them in Arabic, translate them to English then comment on them.

Translation: Narrated by Thawban (RA) that Rasulu Allah (SAW) said: Allah made this earth belong to me from east to west. And my Ummah will control whatever Allah gave me from this earth.
Comments: From this hadeeth. It is clear that the Ummah of Islam will concur the whole earth and Islam will rule from east to west. This did not happen yet. That means will happen in the future.

Translation: Narrated by Ibn Omar. I heard the Prophet (SAW) said if you (my Ummah) gave the pledge to farming and cattle tails (means the Dunia) , and accepted farming. Allah will humiliate you and will not revive you till you go back to your religion.
Explanation: The translation I gave explains that Muslims will actually go back and implement islam in their lives and will bring back the rule of Allah as a whole. Because (Hatta Tarje3o) means until you go back in english means that you will go back and you will revive. That is how the first scholors understood it in accordance the arabic language.
What we see now is that the muslims are reviving and they are going back to islam and there are people who are working on bringing islam as a whole complete system to life to implement across the globe through an islamic state.

Translation: Narrated byAbu Qubayl that they were with Amro Ibn Al3as (RA) and they asked him which of the two cities will the Muslims Concur first Qustantatenia (Turkey) or Romia (Rome), Amr ibn el3as opened a trunk(chest) that he owned and he took out a letter and he said " while we were around the prophet (SAW) writing and someone asked the prophet (SAW) which of the two cities will be concurred first Qusstantenia (Turkey) or Romia (Rome). The Prophet (SAW) repied "The city of Heraql) meanning Qustantenia.
Explanation: This hadeeth explains clearly that that Islam will rule the Qustantenia first and then Romia ( Rome ) Capital of Italy next. As we know Qustantenia was ruled by Islam and the Otthmani State (Islamic Khilafah) ruled till its fall by the cursed Mustafa Kamal Ataturk in 1923.
Now how about Rome? was it ruled by Islam?
The answer is a Big NO. This means Islam will come back and it will rule Rome.

Translation: Narrated by Numan Ibn Basheer from Hudhaifah (RA) said: The prophet (SAW) said:
" Prophethood (meaning himself) will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain, then Allah will raise it up whenever he wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood remaining with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, he will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a reign of oppressive (The reign of Muslim kings who are partially unjust) rule and it will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, there will be a reign of tyrannical rule and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, Allah will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Then, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance
Explanation:
It is clear from the hadeeth that after his prophet hood (SAW) will be an islamic state (Khilafah) that will rule according to his guidance which happened during the 4 shababa Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman and Ali Radiya allah 3anhom Jamee3an. Then there will be Muslims kings that will rule by islam but will be partially unjust which was done during the Umaweyeen through the Ottomans. Partially unjust means that they ruled by Islam but they made some mistakes like the inheritance of the Khalifah Role.
Then there will be a tyrannical rule which we live in today.
Then there will be an islamic Khilafah just like the first one which will be based on the Prophet Guidance. Which did not happen yet

I know that you might say that from the ahadeeth above you could understand that the Mahdi will do all of these things like bringing islam back where he will rule the world and bring the Khilafah back therefore we are close to the day of judgement but the here is some input that clears up the Ahadeeth and above show that we muslims will revive and rule before the Mahdi comes.
The Khilafah will not be established by the Mahdi but he will be a Khaleefah coming after the death of the Khaleefah before him. In other words the Khilafah will have been established by the Muslims before the coming of the Mahdi.

This can clearly be seen in the hadith narrated by Umm Salamah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
"Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph and a man of the people of Medina will come flying forth to Mecca. Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and give bay'ah to him between the Rukn and the Maqam. An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina. When the people see that, the God fearing people of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. Then there will arise a man of Quraysh whose maternal uncles belong to Kalb and send against them an expeditionary force which will be overcome by them, and that is the expedition of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb. He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet (peace be upon him) and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years..." (Reported by at-Tabarani in al-Awsat.According to Ibn Hajar in his Majma' az-Zawaid the transmitters in at-Tabarani's narration are sound and authentic.)

Notice the above hadith states that disputes will take place at the death of the Khaleefah and consequently a man will come forth who after being given bay'ah as the khaleefah will declare himself to be the Mahdi. So clearly Mahdi will not establish the Khilafah Rashidah that will return as foretold in the ahadith, and as well he will not be the first Khaleefah after the destruction of the Khilafah and nor will he be the last Khaleefah. Rather, he will be a just Khaleefah who will establish the justice of Islam on earth. This is from the perspective of the account of the story as prophesised by the Prophet (SAW).

From a shar'i or legal perspective the hadith which detail the emergence of the Mahdi do not establish any Shariah rules for the reality of Muslims of today, as they relate to a different situation when the Khilafah exists. A Hukm Shar'i or divine rule comes for a manaat (reality to which the hukm pertains) which requires a ruling, which is our current reality and not the end of time which will be signalled by the major signs of the day of judgment.

So from looking at the hadeeths above and relate them to the hadith of Um Salammah. We as muslims change our view from one understanding to a totaly different understanding, This is what Fiqh is all about.

May Allah Guide me and all muslims to the right direction and keep us away and protect us from the Fitna of the Dajjal.
May Allah make us among the strangers that are working on making Islam come back who the prophet SAW talked about in his hadith "Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers."

Jazakum Allah Khair

Salam Brother,

Masha'Allah good hadiths mentioned. In particular, the hadith from Um Salamah, I actually had a different interpretation but your perspective is definitely possible. My sense tells me that we have approached the age where the great signs will occurr. Some have already occurred like the earthquake near Indonesia (earthquake in the EAST). Also, the sun will rise from the west literally will occur in 2012 where astronomers and NASA scientists report that the earth will stop one day rotation and hault then spin in the opposite direction due to changes in electromagnetic forces of the universe. When this hapens, a lot of creatures and human life will die due to devastation and aftereffects from storms, earthquakes, etc. In addition, the black flags from Khorasan are in the beginning stages subhan'Allah. Dajjal will likely appear in the next 10 years is my estimate likely 2018-2020. Mahdi will arise 6 years before Dajjal's appearance based on Hadith. That also makes it 2012 estimate at best. Time has shortened and the signs are in succession fast approaching, I thought I would not even be in this time period, but I am happy to be in the last age when eventually all things revert to the truth.

Brother Mohammad,

The Hadith of the Black Flags from Khurassan is a Hadith Daif. Weak Hadith

My understanding concerning this is that many ahadith can be categorized and unfortunately the chain of narration is a spectrometer to its testimony. If it is correct then only Allah (SWT) knows if it will occur. Whats more certain is the whole plan that will be laid out and it is worthy of all imagination. Islamic study is solidly founded and I value true scholarship. What do you think will happen when corruption's armies increase their aggression towards the unmmah even more to the point of endangerment of all the ummah, I believe then will that hadith be realized.

Assalam Alaikom Brother Mohammad,

I Know where you are coming from. But I think that we need to keep this discussion on one point out of time, Your original title was " Are we living the end of times". The ahadeeth and the categorization is a different subject. Even though Ahadeeth categorization is a very important matter and should be discussed later once we come to a conclusion on the matter of the end of time.

As far as the end of time discussion is concerned. It was an old subject that the Prophet (SAW) had said that it was close even at his time.
The end of time is a matter that falls under the category of Ghaybiat that ALLAH and only him knows when it will happen. Even if there was Ahadeeth that talked about certain signs. But also there was a other signs that did not happen and who knows if even these signs are the signs that the Prophet had talked about.

I Honestly think in order to discuss this matter. We need to know what the purpose of this discussion is. What action should we take in our life that this discussion will lead us to
